Are you having trouble getting started or making progress on the Architect Exam?!?? Is the self-guided nature of the ARE not working for you?

Join our virtual study group. The ARE Boot Camp has a syllabus, a schedule with deadlines, people to study with and hold you accountable. The program is organized similar to a "design studio", to help you study for the Architect Exam.

We recently started accepting applications for sessions beginning in September and October 2017  for both ARE 4.0 and 5.0.  It's time to get started with making progress on the Architect Registration Exam.

Here’s my photos.

All of these pictures came from my Instagram feed: YoungArchitxPDX Feel free to add me.

Every summer, California College of the Arts in San Francisco offers Making Architecture, a full-time, 4-week summer program that introduces students to techniques and skills in drawing, model-making, and critical thinking that are central to architectural design.
Making Architecture is open to college students, recent graduates, inspired professionals, and career changers considering graduate education or a career in architecture. No previous experience is required – just an adventurous outlook, a desire to challenge yourself, and a passion for making.
Best of all, you’ll have CCA’s award-winning faculty and resources at your disposal, as well as all the amazing industry connections the SF Bay Area has to offer. The program includes field trips to notable design studios and iconic Bay Area buildings, and visits from guest speakers at creative architecture firms.
Classes start in July, and space is limited, so head over to YoungArchitect.com/CCA to get your application in today.

It’s been a little sad moving out of my apartment. I’ve lived here longer then anywhere. 😭😢👨🏻🏚🏢👋🏼

Goodbye bachelor pad. #😢 #👋🏼

Tonight I’m taking the red eye to Puerto Rico to speak at the architecture conference. I’m talking about the Architect Exam and Entrepreneurship! I love Puerto Rico and I haven’t even gotten there yet! 🤘🏻⚡️💰🏤🏄🏻🇵🇷 #whatanarchitectdoes #idesignbecause #puertorico #puertoricoarchitecture #architectandhisdrone

I just took pictures of all my journals, notebooks and sketch books from the past 10 years and uploaded them to the cloud. (uhh yeah, so I can throw them away) My big takeaway was that prior to 2014…. my life was SOOOOOOO BORING. OMG… I’m glad this is over..

If you are one of the 132 people who has taken the ARE Boot Camp, keep an eye on yo mailbox. #whatanarchitectdoes #stuffshundredsofenvelopes #hookingupmybootcamppeeps

It felt like 10 years getting here. My friend Miraida picked me up and gave me the low down on the conference. Staying in old San Juan tonight. It’s really windy and about to rain. Drone footage will be coming shortly, first I need to take a nap! 🇵🇷💪🏻🏄🏻😎💤

So I kinda forgot that when I got back from Puerto Rico, I no longer had an apartment or a place to live. Last night Molly and I slept in my car behind Wallace school and watched the sunrise without ever getting out of my sleeping bag. It felt so good to sleep outside last night. One of my favorite things about cycling across America is getting to go sleep in a different place every night. And I also love camping in places your not supposed to camp, I’m really good at that.
Ever since I finished my bicycle ride last summer i felt like I was trapped inside my apartment working, working and working. Yes, I made a lot of money, but my apartment of 8 years started to feel stale or stuck in time. Which is why it had to go.

Hey Molls, What kind of dog does a mad scientist have? 🙇🏻
A Laboratory Retriever! 😂 #MollyRiscica #mollsacrossamerica

Ladies, Ladies, step into my Mercedes! 👨🏻😂Molls and I crashed at @john.maternoski house last night because it was 101 degrees out. It’s going to be a busy week of hustling! Gotta make the money! Happy Monday. #mollsacrossamerica

Farm to Table?!??? The Council brought a table to the farm and this was one of the best meals of my life!

I have the deepest gratitude for the Colegio de Arquitectos y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico and EVERY SINGLE PERSON I interacted with in Puerto Rico! It was an honor to participate in this architecture conference with soo many brilliant people. I met sooo many inspiring people in PR, from the Young Architects to the Old Architects, to the Students, the Professors and everyone else involved with the Colegio.
The common thread that i find so inspiring is everyone’s deep commitment and dedication to developing, mentoring and training the next generation of Puerto Rican Architects! Please don’t ever stop!
The Future of Architecture is exciting! 🇵🇷🙏😎📐💪🏻🏄🏻🌴🌮🍺I love you Puerto Rico! #conlasbotaspuestas #teamcaappr

This morning I flew my drone and got paid for it. A friend of mine is doing a project downtown and needed to get on the roof, but it was turning into a political nightmare with the current tenant, so he hired me to fly on top and take a ton of pictures. He loved the pictures, I sent him an invoice, he’ll bill the client and all before 11am.
My work for today is done, I think I’m going to take Molly for a swim and then work on the Young Architect Podcasts for the rest of the day. #portlandarchitecture #whatanarchitectdoes #architectandhisdrone #hardestworkingmaninarchitecture #thatshowitsdoneson

All the ARE Boot Camp People keep passing their exams. This is the 5th message I’ve gotten in 5 days. My approach to preparing for ARE 5.0 is verifiably working. All of my 5.0 boot campers are blasting straight through their first 3 exams. Kicking ass and punching lists! #architectexam #arebootcamp

Good news, I will be attending the Texas Society of Architects conference November 9-11, 2017 in Austin. I am not speaking, just attending, hanging out and enjoying the conference.
I’ll also be back in Austin a few weeks later for New Years to speak at the AIAS Forum Conference!
I can’t wait for these events!
I love Austin, I love the Texas Society of Architects and I love the AIAS! #whatanarchitectdoes #attendalotofconferences #texasarchitecture
