A Women’s Journey: Foreign Architect to Taking The ARE’s

On March 1 – 2, 2019 Young Architect and AIA Tampa Bay hosted a two day in person ARE workshop in Tampa Bay focusing on The Professional Practice Exams (PjM, PcM and CE).

On day 2, My best friend Gloria Kloter, NCARB, CODIA, shared her inspiring story about becoming an Architect in the Dominican Republic, moving to America and her journey towards becoming a Licensed Architect in the US.Gloria is a Foreign Licensed Architect from the Dominican Republic who is now NCARB certified. She's the new NCARB's Architect Licensing Advisor representing AIA Florida. Gloria also serves as the Associate Director and Chairs the WIA and YAF Committees of AIA Tampa Bay. Gloria will be one of our speakers in the YAC where she'll speak about being a foreign woman architect and how to lead through the art of giving first.
