Podcast cherish Empowering Emerging Professionals with Cherise Lakeside Podcast

Cherise Lakeside is a returning guest to the Young Architect Podcast. She was originally a guest back in the earliest days of the podcast. In today’s episode, Cherise talks about her work with young and emerging professionals and her public speaking engagement.

Cherise explains why helping older workers learn how to better work with younger professionals is so important to her. She believes that she wouldn’t be where she is today if she’d not been empowered by older workers that she encountered, and she wants to pass that knowledge and experience along.

Cherise also speaks about her work on the emerging professionals committee and the emerging professionals scholarship. She talks about attending conferences and what she feels that she learns from her experiences in conference settings. She also shares her thoughts about the Young Architect Conference.

During today’s interview, Cherise also speaks about the importance of mentors, and how anyone could be a mentor, whether they’re younger or older, as long as they have knowledge that they’re willing to share with someone who needs it.
