Picking fonts is a highly emotional process. No, not that kind of emotional process. But the right font can really set the voice, tone or emotion of what you are trying to say. The font can mean the difference between sincerity or sarcasm.
I recently found a website that makes finding the best fonts very quick and easy, and the best part is that it uses fonts that are already pre-installed on your computer.
http://wordmark.it/
At the top of the page you plug-in the text that you need a font for. The website then pulls every font that is on your computer, and puts your text into that font so you can compare all the font styles side by side.
Here is an example of how it looks:
For the past several months I have used this website several times a week and it has saved me a ton of time flipping around in Microsoft word looking at my text in many different fonts. I guess you are primarily limited by the amount of fonts you have pre-installed on your machine, but 99% of the time I don’t have time to go looking for fonts online.
